Remote Access to Your Office Computer

Faculty can connect to their own office computer from a remote location. You can run software, use printers, and access file located on, or accessible to, your office PC from a remote location. The Remote Desktop Service is a standard feature provided by Windows XP Professional and provides a secure connection that only the owner of the machine has access to. Note that your remote computer, located in your home can be running any version of Windows 98 or higher to use this service. A broadband connection to the Internet is required - dial-up modem access will not provide acceptable performance.
