Wireless Internet Access
King's University College is now a wireless campus
The Western Wireless Network allows students, faculty, and staff to seamlessly check their e-mail, surf the Web and access the UWO network at high-speeds from all public areas of the college including the Cardinal Carter Library, the Wemple cafeteria, and all classrooms.
The system is built using Ethernet wireless standards. Currently running on "wireless ethernet" (Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b), the network provides high speed connectivity to University information systems, resources, and the Internet. Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) wireless cards are available for most notebook computers and handheld devices. If you are planning to buy a new laptop, pick a model with a built-in antenna.
For more information and instructions for connecting, visit http://wireless.uwo.ca/.
For connectivity support within the library speak with the library staff. For other areas of campus contact King's Information Technology Services at kucits@uwo.ca
